How Long Does Wallpaper Installation Take?
It depends on three things, and any honest installer will tell you the same. The type of paper comes first — some go up fast, others have to be worked slowly so the pattern lines up. Then the height of the wall, because a tall room means more cutting and more time on the ladder. And then the doors and windows: every opening is another edge to trim around by hand. A plain accent wall and a room full of openings are not the same job, even if the square footage matches. We look at the wall before we give you a timeline.
What Types of Wallpaper Do You Install?
All of them. Peel-and-stick, traditional paste, non-woven, grasscloth, custom murals — we work with every type on the market. Each one behaves differently on the wall and needs a different technique, which is the part most people underestimate when they try it themselves. Grasscloth and murals in particular leave no room for error, because there is no second chance on a panel once it is up.
Do I Buy the Wallpaper, or Do You?
You buy it. What we do is help you choose. Tell us the room, the wall and the look you want, and we will tell you what will actually work there and what will give you trouble. That advice is free and it comes before you spend anything — it is easier to change the paper than to fix the wrong one after it is on the wall.
Does the Wall Need to Be Prepared First?
Yes, and we do it. Every wall gets a primer made specifically for wallpaper before anything goes up. It is not the same as regular paint primer: it gives the adhesive something to hold on to and it makes the paper come off cleanly years from now, when you want to change it. We start with two numbers: the square footage and the type of paper. From there we look at what makes the work harder — the height of the wall, and how many doors and windows we have to cut around.
