How Long Does Wallpaper Removal Take?
A standard bedroom takes a full working day. We plan the job that way on purpose — stripping the paper is only part of it. The walls still need the adhesive cleaned off and the surface left ready for whatever comes next. Rushing that is what creates problems later.
What If the Wallpaper Was Painted Over?
It makes the job harder. Paint seals the surface and blocks the solution from reaching the adhesive underneath, so the paper comes off in pieces instead of sheets. It takes longer and it takes more care. That's why we price by difficulty and not just by area — painted-over paper is a different job from a single clean layer.
Will It Damage the Drywall?
Removed the right way, no. Damage happens when paper is pulled dry or pulled fast, and the drywall's paper facing comes away with it. When we do find a damaged section — and on older walls it happens — we repair it: patch, sand, and leave the wall smooth before we finish. Can I Paint Right After?
Not right away. Every bit of adhesive residue has to be cleaned off first, and the wall has to dry completely before any paint goes on. Painting over leftover glue or a wall that is still damp is what causes bubbling and peeling a few months later. We leave the wall clean and tell you when it is ready.
